Downtown Winooski Board Celebrates the Final Winooski Wednesdays of 2021
Winooski Wednesdays began as a free outdoor concert series provided by Winooski Recreation and Parks in partnership with Downtown Winooski and the Monkey House. With the help of the Vermont Department of Transportation, the crosswalks and entrances to the park were redesigned - creating safer, more accessible entry points for residents and visitors. As a result, Winooski Wednesdays helped inspire a revitalized sense of welcoming and opportunity in one of our most central and iconic public spaces. Winooski Wednesdays has featured incredible local musicians, including Myra Flynn, Sabayouma, The High Breaks, Purple: A Prince Tribute Featuring Craig Mitchell, DJ Disco Phantom, and many others. In 2021, Winooski Wednesdays was acquired and expanded by Downtown Winooski, who elevated the series by adding an artist market, local food options, and other amazing activities.
